The wines from Bodegas Venta la Vega have one common characteristic: they are wonderfully uncomplicated and easy to drink. The organic red wine from Venta la Vega is a cuveé of Garnacha Tintorera and Syrah. The Garnacha Tintorera grape provides an intense red colour and a juicy fruitiness. The Syrah adds structure and a subtle spiciness. Red fruits dominate the nose and the finish of the wine is charmingly soft.

The vineyards of Venta la Vega are located at the foothills of the imposing mountains of the Almansa region, better known as El Mugrón. The privileged location has excellent soils and sufficient water for the inherently dry region. The natural microclimate provides ideal conditions for the production of organic wines. Bodegas Venta la Vega comprises more than 850 ha of organically farmed land in the mountainous limestone area of Almansa, 225 ha of which are planted with vines. The altitude of 1,200 m allows for a significant day-night temperature gradient, even in summer. This allows the grapes to ripen slowly and thus enhances the depth of aroma. Garnacha Tintorera is the dominant grape variety of the winery. In France it is known as
Alicante Bouschet.
