Lisbon Tea Co. organic black tea is a type of tea made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, which are grown and processed without synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or other chemicals.

Black tea is made from fully oxidised leaves, which gives it a stronger flavour and higher caffeine content than other teas, such as green or white tea. It can be enjoyed plain or with milk and sugar.

The tea is a natural source of antioxidants, rich in folic acid and vitamins C, K, B1 and B2. Longer steeping times reduce the stimulating effect of the natural tine and release slight bitter flavours from the tea.

Preparation

Add one tablespoon to boiling water and infuse for 3-4 minutes.
