Dried Tomatoes in Olive Oil, Greece, organic, 180g


The dried tomatoes in olive oil are an organic delicacy from Greece. The high quality ingredients as well as the gentle processing give this speciality a wonderfully aromatic, juicy and mildly spicy flavour. The tomatoes are placed in large dryers and stored at a temperature of 50 °C - 60 °C. The temperature is kept deliberately low to preserve all the valuable properties, the excellent taste and all heat-sensitive ingredients such as vitamin C and lycopene. When the drying process is completely finished, the tomatoes are individually inspected and bottled. Here they are rehydrated in cold water according to a traditional recipe, soaked in extra virgin olive oil and rounded off with basil.
