Barolo DOCG PICCOLE VIGNE 2016 Erbaluna, organic, 0,75l

In the northern Italian region of Piedmont lies the municipality of Barolo, which gives its name to the world-famous red wine.  In small-parcel Barolo, the most valuable wines come from the most famous vineyards. The Oberto family also owns many smaller vineyard parcels, which make separate vinification seem impractical in terms of quantity alone. The grapes from these small vineyards are used to make this comparatively accessible Barolo.

About the Azienda Agricola Erbaluna

 Erbaluna is the name of the friendly & classic traditional Piedmontese winery owned by the Oberto family. Like everywhere else in Piedmont, the Obertos have modernised their cellar in recent years. In their self-image, however, they remain (modern) traditionalists. The new fermentation tanks help to extract more fruit, aromas and colour with shorter maceration times. The tannin structure remains well built, but seems more finely woven. This makes the wines friendlier in youth without sacrificing maturity potential.
