The Zibibbo Maganza from Luna Gaia (made by Lunaria Orsogna - more on this below) is clearly something special and for all those who enjoy unusual flavour experiences. On the nose, the Zibibbo has subtle notes of nutmeg and cedar wood, with plenty of juice on the palate, reminiscent of ripe apricots. The Zibibbo Maganza demonstrates a marvellous interplay between acidity and fruit sweetness and is very catchy. Zibibbo is the Sicilian name for the Muscat d'Alexandrie grape variety. The large family of Muscat grapes stands for wonderfully aromatic wines. This also applies to the Zibibbo MAGANZA Terre Siciliane IGP.
The grapes for this wine (100% Zibibbo) are grown and harvested by the Demeter co-operative, Luna Gaia, in Sicily. The grapes are then transported to the Lunaria Orsorgna co-operative in Abruzzo. There they are processed into first-class wines in Demeter quality. The name refers to the origin of the grapes and the wines are marketed under the name Luna Gaia. Lunaria Orsorgna is a well-known name in the organic wine sector and is known for outstanding Demeter wines such as Coste di Moro Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and LA BELLE Malvasia Terre di Chieti IGP.
Recommendation: The Zibibbo from Luna Gaia needs air to develop. The wine should be enjoyed cool, but not too cool (between 8-10C°)
